to correspondences. Our aim is to create lasting people connections across cultures through the medium of art.
correspondences is a social enterprise. We run our organisation through a combination of Government support, private donations, ticketed event revenue and in-kind goods/services, all of which are invested in creating social benefits for the artists and communities engaged.
Success is measured by:
— artistic development outcomes
— access and participation outcomes
— social inclusion outcomes
— local/regional/international community partnering outcomes.
Our shop is a vital part of what we do. You can join us for a coffee, or sake, purchase a drink at an event, hire our space for your special occasion or find a special gift for someone you love.
Our curated gift store focuses on books of fiction, poetry and non-fiction by Australia-based writers and selected craft, glassware, sake and jewellery.
You can also pop in to talk about a special art purchase with us. You can inquire about purchases for a particular resident’s exhibition on show. Or, we invite you to check out correspondences Cares and correspondences Editions program, where you can shop directly.
You can also hire our space or purchase an at-home-making kit via our shop. For more information on both of these initiatives, check out the correspondences Stage and correspondences At Home.
If you really like what we do, you can elect to make an annual contribution. In exchange, you become one of our ‘correspondents’. correspondents are recognised in our communications and invited to join us for three special activities each year. Membership also entitles you to borrow books from our community library.
